Finding My Pryer

Prayer is the language of life. We pray with every thought, feeling and action. It is ongoing and present just like the breath. To pray consciously is to learn this language. To learn how we use it and how it can support us in living a full life.
Prayer begins at the present moment, by being in connection with what is alive in us and expressing it through our body – movement, voices, words. When we unload this initial baggage we are more able to listen and hear the subtle voices that speak soft and gentle inside of us. These are words of love and wisdom pointing us towards ourselves, teaching us about our true essence and encouraging us to live the one life we were born to live.

In ‘The Prayer of my Heart’ we explore this potential. Through different exercises and practices of movement, breathing, vocalizing and writing we dive into the ocean of our experience, creativity and knowledge, to find hidden gems in the shape of dreams, memories and visions. We than share them with the group through words of poetry and story so we can hear them and allow them to be echoed back to us – so we can clearly hear ‘My own Prayer’

The group space is held in a sacred way honoring all that is shared, creating intimacy and trust, helping us to move beyond layers of protection into a live relationship with our emotions, dreams and prayers.

Tools we use

Rhythm and Movement: Incorporating rhythm and body movements, supporting a free-flowing expression.

Breath Exercises: Calming the mind, energizing the body, and supporting our ability to use our voices in the best way.

Vocal Exercises: Individual, paired, and group vocal practices to explore the abilities of our voices.

Improvisation: practicing and playing with our voices and bodies in a spontaneous creativity.

Prayer: Using words to express what is alive within you, connecting more deeply to your inner self and the great mystery.

Writing: untamed writing as a tool to express our subconscious. Working with a freeflow text into poetry and mantra.

Performing: Standing in front of the group to share our prayers, our creations so we can feel power of being heard and echoed.

Group Sharing: This is an opportunity to share your personal experiences, thoughts, and prayers within the group, fostering a supportive community space.
