My Work

The essence of my work is us – the people, the community we form together.

I aim to create spaces in which we can experience authentic humaneness. When we are open, vulnerable and honest, an intimacy is created, allowing us to slowly heal our relationship with each other, and to form a renewed sense of community. I like to call this process Re-Membering.

We begin by remembering and honoring the sacred elements that compose life, we do so with the art of creating sacred altars, using beauty and esthetics to express these elements, allowing them to hold an ancient wisdom in the heart of the work.

Another sacred element is brought back to life as we work with intentions, using our words to express our pain, our hope, our gratitude. We use our voices to sing songs of prayer from different traditions, honoring the wisdom they carry and reclaiming a way of communal prayer long lost.

As we immerse in this experience an acknowledgment arises of our essential part in the web of life and the interconnectedness to all that is. From this rich experience we can Re-Member – come back to a wholesome relationship with the human community, take our rightful place, act with a sense of serving and fulfill our highest potential – making our dreams into the reality we live.

Omer masters the art of healing through tribe. His offerings are a deep prayer to humanity and they ripple out a heartopening trust in life. Working with Omer has been an absolute gift to our consious festival and to me personally. I admire his capacity to hold sacred spaces where grief and tears of joy can freely flow. Omer works with what is alive in the field and is willing to show up as a multi instrumentalist, ceremonial leader and dear friend of our vibrant dance community. Thank you, we love you🙏

Even after many years of knowing him, I still feel a sense of wonder, deep gratitude, and inspiration every time I find myself in one of the healing spaces that Omer creates and nurtures. These spaces are always filled with grace and beauty, simplicity and love, all immersed in Omer's beautiful music. It is a gift for life!

For me, being in the space that Omer holds is being in a healing space. It is a space with deep listening & wisdom, free of bias, expectations, and prejudice, and it invites honesty, authenticity, and a genuine meeting of hearts. Omer knows how to be present in the moment, in service of whatever is happening or seeking to happen, and that is an amazing thing.

Omer is a masterful musician unlike anyone else I know and it's fascinating to me how he has developed his own distinct way to work with the healing force of music and bring such warmth and intimacy to peoples hearts. He possesses an incredible ability to open doors to musical spaces of Life, where those around him feel safe and encouraged to draw upon what most nourishes them in that very moment. I know and appreciate Omer as a role model for many men in particular, as someone who explores the integration of sensitivity, vulnerability and strength and always strives to lead from his heart.
